One cannot overemphasize the importance of doctrine as it is the key to the success of life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work
This very scripture emphasizes the danger of not being led in life. You are doomed if your life is guided by nothing. It’s like not having a map to determine which direction to go, you will most certainly be swayed by everything.
While believers are aware of this, there is a situation that is most subtle and dangerous that if overlooked can be a snare to one’s life and growth. BE CAREFUL OF WHAT DOCTRINE YOU EAT
Truth every doctrine has its benefits but it all depends on each stage of growth in your life.
Most believers continue to swallow the same doctrine and believe that this is all that is needed to grow
1 Corinthians 3:2-4 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men. New King James Version (NKJV)
Not all Doctrines are made equal. Milk is great when given to children but it’s not enough to sustain the life of an adult. God wants us to grow in faith and Knowledge. This means that he wants us to also renew our minds when it comes to our Knowledge.
You need to be careful about what Doctrine you take as you mature in Faith. If you keep taking the doctrine made for babes, you might end up with an ache that will crumble your growth progress. You need to always review your growth in Faith
How do you mature with a proper Doctrine? By having a personal relationship with God he will keep directing you to the right doctrine
