Why Your Story is a Best Seller

One of the strangest things in the publishing world is when authors wait to be picked by the gatekeepers.

To be a Bestselling author, you must be bestowed such honor either by big publishers, celebrity authors, or some standard award body.

Strange isn’t it? that an author needs the validation of others to prove that his story is worthwhile.

Why do Great Writers allow self imposed standards to make them struggle with their craft?

Sadly, this is not just happening in the publishing world, but there are Gems in this World who feel that their story doesn’t matter.

If you feeling that your existence is no different from a withered plant and have reasoned that you are just an empty space with nothing to offer, you are not alone.

It’s not your fault that you are struggling with the hum of self-doubt neither are you to be blamed when you label your story as unrealistic and insignificant.

But what if you knew that your story has the power to change the life of one person, a group, a community, and a nation?

What if you knew that your story will always be a Bestseller?

Still in doubt, here is why your story makes a difference even if you don’t think so:

People want to know about your universe. They want to relate to your world. They want to have a piece of your vision and see the connection.

What you have to say is worth saying because you are an expert in your life and your personal experience is why people are willing to go through your life chapters, fill in the holes and gaps in your story to draw from such experience.

3. Your Story Will Always Shape the World.

Although this presentation looks into the danger of a Single Story, it does show the importance of our story in the World.

A people are as healthy and confident as the stories they tell themselves. Sick storytellers can make nations sick. Without stories we would go mad. Life would lose it’s moorings or orientation….Stories can conquer fear, you know. They can make the heart larger. —Ben Okri

Stories are defined by the principle of power which is how they are told, who tells them, and when they are told. This is the more reason why you have the responsibility to shape the world with your personal stories.

Think about the stories that you have shared and the perception that has been gained from these stories. You are a Writer no matter your hobby, cause, or profession. Your story has the power to make a difference.

By telling your story, you have this one message that will touch one person who will make a difference in the world. You really matter and I am proud of you because you are an inspiration
